Hi! I'm Joey.

Actually, my husband calls me Joey, but you can call me Jordan.

Joey started as a nickname my husband gave me years ago. Somewhere between laughter, everyday life, and a very long honey-do list, that nickname took on a new meaning. The list kept growing, projects kept waiting, and I realized I was more than capable of tackling things myself.

What started as “I’ll just try this one thing” slowly became something bigger. I learned that you don’t need to know everything before you begin. You learn by doing. You build confidence by starting. And sometimes the best way forward is picking up the brush, the drill, or the plan and figuring it out as you go.

Joey Builds was born from that moment. The moment I stopped waiting for the perfect time, the right skills, or someone else to do it for me. It’s not about perfection or expertise — it’s about empowerment, progress, and trusting yourself enough to begin.

This space is an ode to all the women dreaming up new projects, standing at the starting line, and wondering if they’re capable. It’s for the ones ready to try, to learn, and to build something of their own.

Here you’ll find practical guidance, honest encouragement, and resources designed to make home projects feel approachable instead of overwhelming. My hope is that Joey Builds reminds you that creating a home you love doesn’t require permission, experience, or a flawless plan.

You don’t need to be an expert to create a home you love. You just need to start.
